Black Sauce Chicken


  • 1 Boneless chicken or chicken parts with bones
  • 3 Large Onions (diced julienne)
  • 3 Pip Garlic (diced finely)
  • 1 inch Ginger (diced julienne)
  • 2 Green chillis (diced finely)
  • 6 teaspoon Full black dark sauce
  • 2 teaspoon Light sauce
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 4 teaspoon Oil


  1. Heat up medium sized pan, add sesame oil and normal oil.
  2. Fry the onions, garlic, ginger and green chillies till fragrant.
  3. Add in chicken parts and stir.
  4. Add in both sauces, salt and pepper and stir till you see all the ingredients a beautiful blackish color and add 2 cups water.
  5. Stir and leave it covered for 20 mins.
  6. Add in more water if required to cook the chicken on medium heat.
  7. Cook till you see its dried up.
  8. Serve with white rice. Our family usually have yellow moong dal with it.

  • Thanks dear…u have been seeing my images/videos of cooking for over 15 yrs now🙂…waiting for covid pandemic to be over and we will have a retreat to celebrate our website and cook some of the recipes here 2gather.❤
