Ingredients
- 1 Cup Kabuli Chana (boiled in salt water and tea leaves liquid and then drain them)
- 1 Large Onion
- 3 Pips Garlic
- 1 Inch Ginger
- 3 Fresh red chillies
- 1 Large Tomato
- 2 Stalks Coriander leaves (All the above ingredients to be grinded)
- 2 Large Potatoes (diced into bite size)
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon Curry Powder
- A pinch of crushed methi seeds
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ammchur (mango powder)
- Salt (to taste)
- Oil
- Coriander (for garnishing)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan. Fry the grinded ingredients till its cooked and fragrant.
- Add in the powder spices and cook with adding water. Cook on medium heat with lid close. Roughly 30 mins.
- Once mixture is done, add in the kabuli channa and mix well. Water can be added if necessary.
- When its half way cooked,add in the potatoes and simmer for another 15 mins. Check if the potatoes are done. Add in chopped coriander leaves and off the flame.
- Ready to be served with puris, bhature or rise. Add in onion rings and lemon wedges to decorate the dish.
